The MF with the Hat experience

Before 2025, I had never acted in English-language theater. Now, I’ve had the privilege of performing in two productions.

Following the success of The Dinner Party by Neil Simon, I was invited to join another BlueBook Company show: The Motherfucker with the Hat by Stephen Adly Guirgis, staged at the iconic Teatre Gaudí in Barcelona.

Every project brings something unique, but this one had a special flavor. Working under the direction of Rob McLoughlin, alongside the brilliant Daniela Trujillo, Lia Ikkos, and lead actor Nathaniel Ansbach, we built an electric energy that pulsed through every performance.
Set in Hell’s Kitchen, the play dives deep into themes of addiction, love, and betrayal. As one reviewer aptly put it, it’s “a comedy with teeth.”

I had the joy of portraying Cousin Julio — the comic relief, yes, but also a beacon of light among the play’s darker characters.

We performed six shows, three of which sold out, sparking buzz among English-speaking audiences and theater lovers across the city. We’re currently exploring opportunities to extend the run, but in the meantime, I’m simply grateful.

Grateful to Rob for his vision, to our acting coach Tomislav Novakovic for pushing us to grow with every show, and to the entire team for making this experience unforgettable.
Here’s hoping there’s more MF in our future.

And of course, I can’t end this without thanking the incredible audience who came, laughed, felt, and supported us. Your presence gave life to our work — thank you for being part of the ride.
I know you couldn’t be there. But there will be more plays, and one day, I hope you’ll be in the audience — and afterward, I’ll be waiting with open arms, for that hug we’ve both been missing.
Fue increíble compartir escenario dos segundos contigo pero lo mejor fue ser parte de un mismo proyecto, reírme y aprender de ti por meses. Gracais por tu talento y tu increíble energía
